Blitzkid Philadelphia Concert reviews
Mitch Fox
A legend is always exciting to see and my expectations were tempered when I went to watch a 75-year-old performer, but his age was clearly displayed through his lack of singing range and the need for his keyboard player to cover him on more complex fast riffs. It was quite a disappointment. However, the worst part of the show was the disorganized logistics of getting to floor seats. The line to access the only entrance for all floor seat holders, regardless of their location, extended halfway around the stadium. The line was 10 people wide and lacked proper security monitoring until the final 50 yards. Individuals could easily join the crowd that had been waiting for half an hour. After finally entering the stadium 45 minutes after the concert began, the signage indicating section locations was inadequate. It wasn't until 9:15 that everyone was able to get in and settled. Not a great experience for a show that ended around 10:30, right? That was my first and last visit to Chase Field for a concert!
